A native Texan and long-time resident of Austin, Amy Brees brings 25 years of real estate experience and a front-row perspective to the Capital City’s remarkable growth and transformation. Her roots and nostalgia for the vintage weirdness of the Austin of old, combined with her excitement and knowledge of the city’s continued evolution, make her the perfect NAR Member for anyone looking to call Austin home. Her love for live music and Mexican food also make her a great source for local recommendations, starting with a blue margarita from Azul Tequila and catching a show at ACL Live or the Saxon Pub.

Raised in Vernon, TX, Amy is a graduate of Baylor University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She and her husband, Chip, are avid sports fans and can be found cheering for the Westlake Chaps and Baylor Bears on fall weekends, and proudly celebrating the 2021 National Champion Baylor Basketball team in the spring.
Fueled by their love for adventure, Amy and Chip share a passion for travel, taking trips to Eastern Europe, Italy, England, the Caribbean, Antarctica, and China. One of their favorite destinations is India, where they each serve as volunteers for The Miracle Foundation, helping transform the lives of orphaned children.
Never one to shy away from a new challenge, Amy recently took up playing rock and roll drums, starting lessons later in life and proving it’s never too late to learn something new. Whether she’s playing 70’s and 80’s classics behind a drum kit or negotiating on behalf of her clients, she brings rhythm, energy, and commitment to everything she does.
Amy and Chip couldn’t be more thankful for their community at First Baptist Church, where they were married in 1988 and raised their three children over the past thirty years. If you don’t see them on Sunday morning, it’s most likely because they’re off in San Diego, Denver, or Atlanta visiting a few of their ten grandchildren.
Amy’s passion for life is infectious, and she brings that same enthusiasm to the search for her clients’ dream homes. But her service doesn’t stop at the closing table. Amy continues to check in long after the “For Sale” sign comes down, helping with everything from contractors and plumbers to A/C service and more.
