DEN is more than buying & selling homes - we build them too!

This weekend, our team at DEN took part in a great experience building a home with Habitat for Humanity. We had 20+ volunteers with DEN that eagerly arrived at 8am on a Saturday morning to help. With a few valued friends, family and colleagues present as well, we showed up ready to work! The day began with most of us laying sod in the yard of a home that had just been completed. It was satifying and inspiring to begin the day applying the finishing touch, to see what was to become of our construction job across the street. Selfishly, it helped us warm up too as we were all ready for t-shirt weather and it was still 45 degrees and cloudy!

Throughout the day, we did jobs such as wall framing, blocking (which I learned meant marking the framing for additional support for hanging shelves and cabinets), window installation, trim priming, truss lifting, street sweeping, and many, many others! I can personally say I was so proud of our team. Everyone worked tirelessly from beginning to end, pitching in wherever help was needed. We can't wait for the next opporunity to serve together!
